This medication is used to improve respiratory symptoms such as cough, phlegm, and asthma.

How to take

Adult dose

Ages 15 and over: Take 1 packet (15 mL) three times a day after meals, 30 minutes after eating.

Child dose

Ages 11 to under 15: Take 2/3 packet (10 mL) three times a day after meals, 30 minutes after eating. Ages 8 to under 11: Take 1/2 packet (7.5 mL) three times a day.

Precautions

This medication contains the artificial sweetener aspartame. Aspartame is broken down into phenylalanine in the body, so individuals with the genetic disorder phenylketonuria should not take this medication. Also, care should be taken not to exceed the maximum allowable daily intake of aspartame, and adults weighing 60 kg should adjust their dosage to not exceed 2.4 g per day. Infants under 3 months of age or those with a history of allergic reactions to this medication or its ingredients should not take this medication. Additionally, individuals who are currently taking MAO inhibitors or have discontinued them less than 2 weeks ago should not use this medication. It is advisable not to take other cough suppressants, cold medications, antihistamines, or sedatives while using this medication. Individuals with a history of allergies, past drug allergy symptoms, liver, kidney, heart, or thyroid diseases, or chronic conditions such as hypertension or diabetes, as well as pregnant or nursing women, elderly people, or those in weak health should consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication. Smokers or individuals with respiratory diseases such as asthma, chronic bronchitis, or emphysema, or experiencing a cough lasting more than a week accompanied by fever, rash, or headache should also consult a specialist. If symptoms like rash, itching, vomiting, dizziness, anxiety, tremors, or insomnia occur while taking this medication, or if symptoms do not improve after taking it 5-6 times, stop taking it immediately and consult a specialist. Do not administer this medication to children under 2 years old, and if necessary, seek medical advice. When taking this medication, ensure to follow the prescribed dosage, and when administering to children, it should be done under the supervision of a guardian. Alcohol should also be avoided during treatment. Store this medication out of reach of children, and keep it tightly sealed in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. It is important not to transfer it to another container to maintain its quality.
