Precautions

This medicine contains the artificial sweetener aspartame. Aspartame is broken down into phenylalanine in the body, so individuals with the genetic disorder phenylketonuria should not take this medicine. Also, caution should be taken not to exceed the WHO recommended daily intake of aspartame, which is 40 mg per kg of body weight, and adults should not exceed a maximum of 2.4 g per day. Infants under 3 months, individuals allergic to this medicine or its components, and those currently taking or have discontinued certain antidepressants or antipsychotics within the last 2 weeks should not take this medicine. While taking this medicine, it is advisable not to simultaneously take other cold medications, cough suppressants, antihistamines, or sedatives. Individuals with a history of allergies or previous drug allergic reactions, those with liver, kidney, heart, thyroid diseases, diabetes, hypertension, elderly patients, and women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine. In particular, smokers or those with respiratory diseases such as asthma, chronic bronchitis, emphysema, or persistent/recurrent cough lasting more than a week should also consult with a healthcare professional before use. If symptoms such as rash, itching, nausea, dizziness, anxiety, trembling, or insomnia occur during the use of this medicine or if symptoms do not improve after 5-6 doses, discontinue use immediately and consult a professional. This medicine is not to be administered to children under 2 years old without medical consultation, even if necessary. When taking this medicine, the prescribed dosage and method must be followed, and when children are taking it, a guardian must supervise and guide them. It is also advisable to avoid alcohol during this period. Store this medicine in a place out of children's reach, away from direct sunlight, in a cool, dry, and tightly closed container. Additionally, it is important not to transfer the medicine to a different container to maintain its quality.
