Treatment of gastric ulcers and duodenal ulcers, relief of gastroesophageal reflux disease symptoms, and maintenance therapy
This medication is used to treat gastric ulcers and duodenal ulcers and is effective for erosive or ulcerative gastroesophageal reflux disease. It also alleviates symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease and is used for long-term maintenance therapy. Thus, it is primarily used for the treatment of stomach and esophagus-related diseases.
The usual adult dosage is 10/700 mg orally once a day. Depending on symptoms, 20/700 mg may be administered orally once a day. Generally, for gastric ulcers, treatment lasts up to 8 weeks; for duodenal ulcers, up to 6 weeks. For erosive or ulcerative gastroesophageal reflux disease: 10/700 mg or 20/700 mg should be administered orally once daily for 4 to 8 weeks. If not resolved after 8 weeks, an additional 8-week treatment with 10/700 mg or 20/700 mg may be considered.
