Cozal Es Nasal Spray Solution (Sodium Chloride)

Adult dosage

1-8 sprays in each nasal cavity as needed every 2-3 hours. Insert the nozzle into the nasal cavity with the tip slightly angled backward. Firmly press the pump to activate the spray and dispense a prescribed amount into both nasal cavities. After spraying, tilt the head to the right for 10 seconds and then to the left for 10 seconds. Then pinch the nose tightly and keep the nasal cavity obstructed for 10 seconds.

Children's dosage

Infants: 1 spray. 1 month to 12 months: 1-2 sprays. 1 year to 2 years: 1-3 sprays. 2 years to 5 years: 1-4 sprays. 5 years to 8 years: 1-5 sprays. 8 years and older.

This medication should not be used by individuals who are allergic to benzalkonium chloride or any other ingredients in this medication. Individuals who have previously experienced allergic symptoms like rash, redness, swelling, or irritation after using nasal drops should consult a doctor, dentist, or pharmacist before using this medication. It is important for individuals currently receiving treatment, who have recently undergone nasal surgery, or who have lesions in the nose to consult with a healthcare specialist before use. This medication is intended for direct application to the nose only; for hygiene reasons, it should not be shared among multiple people. When using, it is important to tilt the head to the side or lay down in a reclining position to prevent the liquid from passing into the throat, as it may cause throat muscle spasms. Benzalkonium chloride in this medication may induce bronchial spasms, so prolonged use can lead to irritation, swelling, and edema of the nasal mucosa. When storing, avoid direct sunlight or heat, and do not use expired products. Store in a safe place out of reach of children, and do not transfer the medication to other containers, as this may lead to misuse or degradation of quality; always keep it in its original container and close it tightly.

Mild side effects

Possible mild allergic reactions such as rash, redness, swelling, and irritation upon use of nasal drops. Possible nasal irritation, swelling, and edema of the nasal mucosa. Possible laryngeal spasms.

This medication should be stored in a tightly sealed container to prevent air or moisture ingress. Also, avoid excessively hot or cold places, and it is best to store it at room temperature between 1 to 30 degrees Celsius.
