This medication is used to relieve various symptoms of the cold, including runny nose, nasal congestion, sneezing, sore throat, phlegm, chills, fever, headache, joint pain, and muscle pain.

How to take

Adult dose

Adults aged 15 years and above: take 1 packet (20 mL) three times a day after meals.

Child dose

Precautions

This medicine can place a burden on the liver, so those who regularly consume more than three alcoholic drinks daily should consult with a physician or pharmacist before taking it. The acetaminophen component in this medication can rarely cause serious skin conditions, so if a rash or other allergic symptoms occur, stop taking it immediately and consult a specialist. The maximum daily dose of acetaminophen should not exceed 4,000 mg, and this medication should not be taken in conjunction with other medications containing acetaminophen. Additionally, since it contains pseudoephedrine, if fever, rash, or small blisters occur, stop taking it immediately and consult with a physician or pharmacist. Individuals with a known allergy or a history of asthma, infants under 3 months old, those taking certain antidepressants or psychiatric medications, or those with severe hypertension or renal diseases should not take this medication. Do not take this medication in conjunction with cough medicines, other cold medicines, antipyretics, sedatives, or antihistamines. Children who have had or are suspected of having chickenpox or influenza, individuals with allergic tendencies or medical conditions affecting the liver, kidneys, heart, thyroid, diabetes, hypertension, gastrointestinal diseases, pregnant or breastfeeding women, should consult with a specialist before taking it. If symptoms like rash, itching, vomiting, severe dizziness, difficulty breathing, or jaundice occur after taking it, stop taking it immediately and consult healthcare personnel. Children under 2 years old should not take this medication except in special cases, and careful supervision by a guardian is necessary during use. Follow the prescribed dosage and administration carefully, avoid long-term use, and abstain from alcohol. Also, as drowsiness may occur, caution should be exercised while driving or operating machinery, and it's advisable to consult with a specialist regarding potential interactions with certain medications.

Serious side effects

  • Hives, severe swelling (edema), chest tightness, difficulty breathing, cold sweat, pallor → severe allergic reaction
  • Severe rash with high fever, blisters, exfoliation of skin, pain in mucous membranes of mouth/eyes → severe skin abnormal reaction
  • Asthma, liver dysfunction (systemic lethargy, jaundice), interstitial pneumonia (cough, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, fever)
  • Sudden and severe headaches, thunderclap headaches, seizures, confusion, vision changes → serious

Mild side effects

Rash, redness, itching, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, constipation, edema, difficulty urinating, thirst, dizziness, anxiety, tremors, insomnia, high anion gap metabolic acidosis (HAGMA)

Storage
