Adult dose

The recommended dose of this medicine is 1 tablet (0.2mg) once daily. To avoid irritation of the oropharyngeal mucosa, swallow this medicine whole without chewing or splitting it. This medicine may be taken with or without food. No dose adjustment is necessary in patients with renal impairment. Since no data are available on the administration of this medicine to patients with hepatic impairment, the recommended dose in these patients has not been established.

This medication can be absorbed through the skin, so women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should not touch or handle this medication. In particular, avoiding contact with broken or crushed pieces of this medication is essential. Children should also be cautious about touching broken pieces of this medication. Women, children under 18 years of age, and patients with hypersensitivity to this medication or its components should not take this medication. Adult men planning a pregnancy should take this medication cautiously under a doctor's judgement as it may affect fertility. Additionally, patients with severe urinary obstruction or liver function abnormalities need to exercise caution when taking this medication. This medication is extensively metabolized in the liver; therefore, caution is advised when taken with strong CYP3A4 inhibitors as it may increase the drug concentration. Some male patients in clinical trials have reported erectile dysfunction, ejaculation disorders, and decreased libido as adverse reactions related to sexual function. Increases in liver function test values may also occur, necessitating regular monitoring. Blood donation is only possible after at least six months have elapsed since the last dose of this medication, to prevent transmission of the drug to pregnant individuals. During treatment, prostate-specific antigen (PSA) levels may decrease, so caution is needed when interpreting PSA test results, and regular prostate cancer screening is recommended. This medication has been associated with male breast cancer reports, so it is important to notify a doctor immediately if there are any abnormalities in the breasts. This medication is contraindicated for children under 18 and women, and its safety and efficacy in the elderly have not been sufficiently studied. It is known not to affect driving or machinery operation skills; however, this can vary by individual, so caution is advised. In case of overdose, as there is no specific antidote, appropriate supportive treatment should be given according to symptoms. This medication should be stored out of the reach of children, and should be kept in its original container to prevent misuse or deterioration of quality.
