Precautions

This medication should not be used by patients who are allergic to this medication or any of its ingredients. Caution should be exercised when used in patients with impaired kidney function, elderly patients, and patients with a history of heart disease or those who have had heart disease in the past. Headache is the most commonly reported side effect, while symptoms such as drowsiness, dizziness, and nausea may also occur rarely. Occasionally, mental disturbances such as fatigue, insomnia, nervousness, and nightmares, or skin reactions such as rashes, hives, and itching may occur. Severe allergic reactions such as shock may occur, so if symptoms such as difficulty breathing, low blood pressure, swelling of the skin, chest pain, or facial flushing occur, the medication should be stopped immediately and medical consultation should be sought. Liver function may be affected, so liver function tests should be regularly checked, and if abnormal symptoms occur, medication should be discontinued. Although there have been no reports of effects on driving or operating machinery, those sensitive to the medication should check their status before engaging in such activities. This medication's efficacy may change when taken with certain antibiotics, antacids, or specific fruit juices, particularly grapefruit juice, orange juice, or apple juice, so it is advised to avoid taking them together. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should carefully consider the impact on the fetus before taking this medication, and breastfeeding women are advised to avoid breastfeeding while taking it. The safety and efficacy of this medication have not been established in children under 12 years of age and newborns, so its use is not recommended. Elderly patients over 65 are likely to have reduced kidney function, therefore dosage adjustment and careful monitoring of kidney function should be conducted. If skin reaction tests are to be conducted for allergy testing, this medication should be stopped 3 to 5 days prior to the tests to ensure accurate results. No specific toxic symptoms have been reported in case of overdose; however, symptoms like dizziness, drowsiness, and dry mouth may occur, and symptomatic treatment should be provided. Dialysis is not effective in removing this medication. Keep this medication out of reach of children and do not transfer it to another container for safety and quality maintenance.
