Precautions

This drug contains Dobesilate Calcium Hydrate as its main ingredient and should not be used in certain patients. First, individuals who are hypersensitive to this drug or any of its components should not take it. Pregnant or nursing women should also not use this drug. Because this drug contains lactose, individuals with genetic issues such as lactose intolerance, galactose intolerance, Lapp lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption should not take it. Patients with poor kidney function should take this drug cautiously. Since this drug is primarily excreted through urine, there is a risk of accumulation of the drug when kidney function is impaired, so caution is needed. Patients with severe renal failure requiring dialysis may need dose adjustments. Patients with liver dysfunction should also use the drug carefully, and if liver enzyme levels rise significantly, the benefits and risks of treatment should be reevaluated. This drug contains sodium metabisulfite, which may cause severe allergic reactions or asthma attacks in individuals allergic to sulfites, hence caution should be exercised. Asthma patients may experience these allergic reactions more frequently. Possible side effects during the use of this drug include headache, abdominal pain, nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, increased liver enzyme levels, arthralgia, and myalgia. Rarely, allergic reactions such as skin rash, itching, urticaria, and facial swelling may occur, and very rarely, serious allergic reactions like anaphylaxis may arise. Additionally, hematological disorders like agranulocytosis have been reported rarely; if symptoms such as high fever, sore throat, or signs of infection appear, contact a doctor immediately. If severe gastrointestinal disturbances occur while taking this drug, the dosage may need to be reduced or temporarily discontinued. If skin reactions, fever, arthralgia, or changes in blood levels occur, these may indicate hypersensitivity, so it is essential to stop taking the drug and consult a doctor. No specific drug interactions with this medication are known, but it may affect the measurement of creatinine levels in blood tests, so you should inform your healthcare provider of your medication use before tests. Finally, consult a doctor before starting this medication, and regularly undergo necessary tests such as blood tests to use it safely.
