This medication is used for seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis, allergic conjunctivitis, chronic idiopathic urticaria, and skin pruritus.

How to take

Adult dose

Adults and children aged 12 years and older should take 10mg orally once daily as cetirizine hydrochloride. For patients sensitive to adverse reactions, split the doses into morning and evening, adjusting accordingly based on age and symptoms. In renal impairment patients, the dosing interval should be adjusted according to the patient's renal function, and dosage should be tailored based on creatinine clearance.

Child dose

For children aged 2-12 years, if the weight is 30kg or more, administer 10mg once daily; if less than 30kg, administer 5mg once daily of this medication. In pediatric patients with renal impairment, dosage should be individually adjusted based on renal clearance and weight.

Precautions

This medication should not be taken by individuals who are allergic to any of its components or who have had a sensitivity reaction to related components in the past. It is also not safe for patients with severely impaired renal function, children under the age of 2, and women who are pregnant or breastfeeding.
