This medication is used to relieve respiratory symptoms such as cough and phlegm.

How to take

Adult dose

Ages 15 years and older: 1 dose 20.0 mL (4 packs) taken 5 to 6 times a day, approximately every 4 hours.

Child dose

Ages 11 years and older - under 15 years: 1 dose 13.3 mL (2 ⅔ packs) Ages 8 years and older - under 11 years: 1 dose 10.0 mL (2 packs) Ages 5 years and older - under 8 years: 1 dose

Precautions

This medication should not be taken by infants under 3 months old. Individuals who are allergic to this medication or its ingredients, or who have had hypersensitivity reactions, should not take it. People taking certain antidepressants or psychiatric medications known as MAO inhibitors, or who have stopped such medications within the last 2 weeks, should not take this medication. It is recommended not to use other cough suppressants or cold medications, antihistamines, and sedatives simultaneously while taking this medication. Individuals with allergies or a history of allergic reactions such as rash or itching from medications must consult with a healthcare provider before use. It is important for individuals with liver, kidney, heart, thyroid diseases, diabetes, or high blood pressure, as well as the elderly and those in poor health or with fever, to consult a professional before use. Pregnant women, those who may become pregnant, or breastfeeding mothers must consult with healthcare professionals before taking this medication. Smokers or people with respiratory diseases such as asthma, chronic bronchitis, or emphysema, or those with persistent severe cough should consult a professional before use. If unusual symptoms such as rash, vomiting, dizziness, anxiety, tremors, or insomnia occur during use, stop taking the medication immediately and consult a physician. If symptoms do not improve after taking the medication 5 to 6 times, stop taking it and consult healthcare professionals. Children under 2 years of age should not take this medication and should see a physician if necessary. This medication must be taken according to the prescribed dosage and administration, and when taken by children, the guardian must supervise. It is safe not to consume alcohol while taking this medication. Store this medication out of reach of children, away from direct sunlight, in a cool and dry place. Additionally, to prevent misuse and maintain the quality of the medication, do not transfer it to another container.
