This medicine is used to relieve various symptoms associated with colds, including sore throat, cough, phlegm, chills, fever, headache, joint pain, and muscle pain. It helps reduce the discomfort of cold symptoms to allow the patient to recover more comfortably.

How to take

Adult dose

For adults aged 15 years and above: 1 pouch (20 mL) 3 times a day after meals for 30 minutes. Generally, the interval between doses should be 4 hours.

Child dose

For children aged 11 to under 15 years: 2/3 pouch 3 times a day after meals for 30 minutes. For children aged 7 to under 11 years: 1/2 pouch 3 times a day after meals for 30 minutes. For children aged 3 and above ~

Precautions

This medication can put stress on the liver; therefore, individuals who regularly consume more than three alcoholic drinks a day must consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking it. Due to the presence of acetaminophen, serious skin reactions can rarely occur, so if a rash or allergy symptoms appear, discontinue use immediately. You should not exceed a daily dose of 4,000 mg of this medication, and it should not be taken with other acetaminophen-containing drugs to prevent liver damage. Individuals who are allergic to this medication or its ingredients or have had asthma reactions in the past, infants under 3 months of age, or those currently taking or have recently discontinued specific antidepressants or psychiatric medications should not take this product. While taking this medication, do not concurrently take other cough medications, cold medications, antipyretic analgesics, sedatives, or antihistamines. Children who have had or are suspected to have chickenpox or influenza, those with allergy predispositions, individuals with liver, kidney, heart diseases, the elderly, pregnant women, or nursing mothers must consult a healthcare professional before use. If unusual symptoms such as rashes, itching, vomiting, or dizziness occur during treatment, discontinue use immediately and consult a doctor. Emergency treatment may be necessary in cases of severe allergic reactions or breathing difficulties. Children under 2 years old should generally not use this medication unless in special cases, and it should be administered under adult supervision in children. Strictly follow the prescribed dosage and administration methods, avoid long-term use, and refrain from alcohol consumption while taking this medication. Caution is required when using this medication with certain antidepressants or antibiotics due to the risk of side effects.

Serious side effects

  • Hives, severe swelling (edema), chest tightness, difficulty breathing, cold sweat, paleness (hypersensitivity shock)
  • Severe rashes with a high fever, blisters, skin peeling, pain in mucous membranes of mouth/eyes (Stevens-Johnson syndrome, toxic epidermal necrolysis)
  • Asthma attacks
  • Yellowing of skin or eyes (jaundice), extreme lethargy (liver dysfunction)
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, cough and fever accompanied respiratory abnormalities (interstitial pneumonia)

Mild side effects

Rash, redness, itching, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, constipation, swelling, dizziness, anxiety, tremors, insomnia, hyperosmolar non-ketotic metabolic acidosis (HAGMA)

Drug interactions

Do not take medicines that contain antitussives, expectorants, other cold medications, antipyretic analgesics, sedatives, or antihistamines while using this medication. Individuals currently taking or who have stopped using MAO inhibitors for depression or Parkinson's treatment within the last 2 weeks should not take this medication. Those receiving medication for diabetes, gout, arthritis, anticoagulants, or steroids should consult a doctor or pharmacist.
