Tonsillitis and peritonsillar abscess, representative diseases of pharyngitis, present symptoms of throat swelling and pain. These two diseases cause discomfort due to inflammation of the tonsil tissue inside the throat. Medications used for these symptoms relieve inflammation and reduce pain. Therefore, it is used for tonsillitis and peritonsillar abscess.

How to take

Adult dose

Adults take 1 pouch (9.0g) per dose, 3 times a day, dissolving in lukewarm water before or between meals and slowly taking small amounts while moistening the mouth or throat.

Precautions

This medicine should not be taken by infants under 3 months of age. Patients with hypertension, those with heart or kidney problems, patients with edema, the elderly, patients taking other medications, pregnant women or those who may become pregnant, patients in poor health, patients with weak stomachs and frequent diarrhea, patients who have experienced rashes or itching due to medications in the past, and infants under 1 year old must consult a specialist before taking this medication. If any abnormal symptoms occur during the course of taking this medication, such as swelling of the face or hands and feet, increased blood pressure, or headache, discontinue use immediately and consult a specialist. In addition, if symptoms such as muscle weakness, limb cramps, skin rashes, loss of appetite, or diarrhea occur, discontinue use immediately and seek counsel. If symptoms do not improve even after taking the medication 5 to 6 times, stop taking it and consult a specialist. This medication should ideally be avoided for long-term use, and if long-term use is necessary, it must be done under the guidance of a specialist. Dosage and administration must be strictly adhered to, and when taken with other medications containing potassium or licorice, and certain diuretics, attention is needed as hypokalemia or muscle abnormalities may occur.
