This medication is used to relieve symptoms such as nasal congestion, runny nose, sneezing, teary eyes, sore throat, and heavy head associated with common cold, allergic rhinitis, and sinusitis.

How to take

Adult dose

Take 10 mL four times a day after each meal and before bedtime. May take up to 6 times a day if needed, but maintain an interval of about 4 hours.

Precautions

This medication should not be taken by infants under 3 months of age. People who have had an allergic reaction to this medication or its components should not take it. People currently taking or have stopped taking MAO inhibitors, including antidepressants, antipsychotics, mood stabilizers, and anti-Parkinson medications within the last 2 weeks, should not take this medication. During the course of taking this medication, do not take other oral medications for rhinitis or cold medicines containing antihistamines, cough suppressants, motion sickness medications, or allergy medications. Individuals with a history of allergy conditions such as hives, contact dermatitis, migraines, food allergies, or prior allergic reactions to medications resulting in fever, rash, joint pain, asthma, or itching should consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication. Those with high blood pressure, heart disease, kidney disease, edema, glaucoma, urinary difficulties, thyroid disease, diabetes, or who are physically weak or have a high fever must consult a healthcare professional. Women who are pregnant, may become pregnant, or are breastfeeding must consult a doctor before taking this medication. Elderly individuals or persons currently receiving medical treatment must also consult a healthcare professional before taking this medication. Smokers or those with asthma, chronic bronchitis, emphysema, or persistent coughing with significant phlegm should consult a healthcare professional before taking this medication, especially if they experience fever, rash, or persistent headaches while coughing. If symptoms such as hemorrhagic stroke, severe nausea or vomiting, persistent and severe thirst, constipation, loss of appetite, skin rash or itching, or urinary difficulties occur during taking this medication, discontinue use immediately and consult a doctor. Rarely, potassium levels in the blood may decrease, leading to facial and limb swelling or hypertension such as hyperaldosteronism, as well as muscle weakness and limb cramps; if these symptoms occur, stop taking the medication and inform a healthcare professional. If symptoms do not improve after 5-6 doses, discontinue use and consult a doctor. Children under 2 years of age should only take this medication upon a doctor's advice in special cases. This medication should be taken according to the prescribed dosage and duration, and long-term use should be avoided. Drowsiness may occur while taking this medication; therefore, avoid operating vehicles or machinery, and refrain from alcohol consumption. Keep out of reach of children and store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Do not transfer to another container to prevent misuse and maintain the quality of the medication.
