This medication is used to relieve allergic rhinitis symptoms in patients suffering from asthma and perennial allergic rhinitis. Specifically, it helps reduce uncomfortable symptoms such as nasal congestion, sneezing, and runny nose, allowing patients to lead a more pleasant daily life. It may also assist in asthma management, contributing to improved respiratory health.

How to take

Adult dose

Adults and adolescents aged 15 years and older: 1 tablet orally once daily in the evening.

Precautions

This medication has been reported to cause serious neuropsychiatric events; therefore, if new mental changes or thoughts of suicide occur during treatment, you should consult a doctor immediately. Patients with allergies to this medication or its components, or to Hydroxyzine or Piperazine derivatives, as well as those with renal impairment, and women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should not use this medication. Patients with impaired kidney or liver function, as well as the elderly, should use caution when taking this medication, as its components may remain in the body longer. Common side effects during treatment may include upper respiratory infections, nasopharyngitis, gastrointestinal disturbance, and tonsillitis, while rare side effects may include dry mouth or cardiac arrhythmias. This medication is not intended for the treatment of acute asthma attacks; therefore, separate medications should be prepared for emergencies, and sudden changes in steroid treatment should be avoided. Patients who are sensitive to aspirin should avoid taking aspirin or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs while on this medication. Rarely, an increase in eosinophils in the blood may occur, so medical observation is necessary if related symptoms are present. One of this medication's components may cause drowsiness or fatigue; caution is needed when driving or operating machinery, and it should not be taken with alcohol or central nervous system depressants. Additionally, patients with urinary excretion issues should exercise caution while taking this medication. Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding are advised not to take this medicine and should consult their doctor if necessary. Children under the age of 15 should not use this medication as its safety and efficacy have not been sufficiently established. When storing, keep it out of reach of children and avoid light exposure prior to opening, as it is sensitive to light.
