This medication is used for respiratory-related symptoms such as cough, phlegm, and asthma.

How to take

Adult dose

Ages 15 and above: Take 1 packet (15 mL) 3 times a day after meals for 30 minutes.

Child dose

Ages 11 to under 15: Take 2/3 packet (10 mL) 3 times a day after meals for 30 minutes. Ages 8 to under 11: Take 1/2 packet (7.5 mL) 3 times a day.

Precautions

This medication contains the artificial sweetener aspartame, which is broken down into phenylalanine in the body. Therefore, patients with the genetic disorder phenylketonuria should not take this medication. The daily intake of aspartame should be limited to no more than 40 mg per kg of body weight, as recommended by the WHO; for a 60 kg adult, the maximum daily intake is 2.4 g. Infants under 3 months old, individuals allergic to this medication or its components, and those taking MAO inhibitors or who have discontinued them within the last 2 weeks should not take this medication. During the course of this medication, it is advisable not to take other antitussives, cold medications, antihistamines, or sedatives. Individuals with a history of allergies such as hives, eczema, allergic rhinitis, migraine, food allergies, as well as those with liver, kidney, heart, or thyroid diseases, diabetes, hypertension, elderly individuals, women who are pregnant or breastfeeding, and those with specific cough symptoms should consult a physician or pharmacist before use. If symptoms such as rash, itching, vomiting, dizziness, anxiety, tremors, insomnia, or other abnormal signs occur during the use of this medication, or if symptoms do not improve after 5-6 doses, discontinue use immediately and consult a professional. Do not administer to children under 2 years of age; if necessary, consult a physician. Adhere to the specified dosage and administration, and supervise administration to children by a guardian; avoid alcohol while taking this medication. Store this medication out of reach of children, away from direct sunlight, in a cool, dry, and well-sealed container. It is also important not to transfer it to another container to maintain quality.
