This medication helps relieve allergic rhinitis symptoms in patients experiencing both asthma and perennial allergic rhinitis. It controls asthma symptoms and reduces allergy symptoms such as nasal congestion and sneezing, thereby improving quality of life. Thus, it is used to manage both asthma and allergic rhinitis simultaneously.

How to take

Adult dose

Adults and adolescents aged 15 years and older: Take 1 tablet once daily, orally in the evening.

Precautions

This medication may cause severe neuropsychiatric symptoms; if symptoms such as anxiety, depression, hallucinations, or suicidal thoughts appear during use, consult a doctor immediately. Patients with allergies to any components of this medication or similar drugs, patients with severely impaired kidney function, and pregnant or breastfeeding women should not take this medication. Caution is advised for patients with weak kidney or liver function, as well as the elderly, as the blood concentration may increase with use of this medication. Generally, this medication may cause side effects such as upper respiratory infections, nasopharyngitis, gastrointestinal disturbances, and tonsillitis, and rarely causes dry mouth or electrocardiogram abnormalities. This medication is not intended for the treatment of acute asthma attacks, and asthma patients should always have emergency medication ready. Patients with hypersensitivity to aspirin or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs should avoid using these medications while taking this drug, and the effectiveness of this medication in treating acute bronchoconstriction in patients with aspirin-sensitive asthma has not been established. Rarely, during the use of this medication, an increase in eosinophils in the blood or symptoms of vasculitis may occur, requiring medical supervision. Drowsiness, fatigue, and weakness may occur after taking this medication, so caution is advised when driving or operating machinery, and it should not be taken with alcohol or central nervous system depressants. This medication may increase the risk of urinary retention, so patients with urinary problems should use it cautiously. It is recommended that pregnant and breastfeeding women avoid using this medication unless carefully evaluated by a doctor. The safety and effectiveness in children under 15 years of age have not been established, so it is advisable not to use it in this age group. In case of overdose, there is no specific antidote, so general supportive treatment should be implemented, and if severe symptoms occur, visit a medical institution immediately. This medication is sensitive to light, so do not open it until ready for use, and store it out of reach of children.
