How to take

Adult dose

Ages 15 and older take 1 packet (20mL) three times a day after meals.

Child dose

Ages 11 and older - For ages 7 to under 15 take 2/3 packet once, ages 3 to under 7 take 1/3 packet once, ages 2 to under 3 take 1/4 packet once.

Precautions

This medication can put strain on the liver, so individuals who consume more than three alcoholic drinks daily must consult a doctor or pharmacist. Acetaminophen included in this medication may rarely cause severe skin allergic reactions; therefore, if symptoms such as rash or itching occur, discontinue use immediately. The maximum daily dose of acetaminophen should not exceed 4,000 mg, and it should not be taken with other acetaminophen-containing medications to prevent liver damage. Individuals who have had allergic reactions to this medication or have experienced asthma should not take it, as well as infants under three months of age, and those taking certain antidepressants or psychiatric medications. Additionally, it is safe not to take this medication along with other cold medications, antipyretic analgesics, sedatives, or antihistamines. Children suspected of having chickenpox or influenza, those with a tendency for allergies, or anyone with liver, kidney, or heart disease must consult an expert before taking this medication. If unusual symptoms such as rash, itching, vomiting, dizziness, difficulty breathing, etc. appear during use, discontinue and consult a medical professional immediately. For children under two years of age, it is advisable not to use this medication unless in special cases. Adhere to the prescribed dosage and administration, avoid prolonged usage, refrain from alcohol while using, and be cautious while driving or operating machinery as somnolence may occur. When taken with the specific antibiotic flucloxacillin, there may rarely be a risk of metabolic acidosis, so caution is required. Store in a tightly sealed container to protect from air and moisture, keep in a cool, dry place out of reach of children, avoid direct sunlight, and do not transfer to another container.

Hives, severe swelling (edema), chest tightness, cold sweat, pallor, difficulty breathing, severe rash with high fever, blisters, skin peeling, pain in mucous membranes of the mouth/eyes, yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice), extreme lethargy, sudden and severe headache, thunderclap headache, seizures, altered consciousness, visual disturbances, paralysis, significantly reduced urination, severe systemic swelling, and elevated blood pressure.

Mild side effects

Rash, redness (congestion), itching, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, constipation, edema (swelling), difficulty urinating, persistent or severe thirst, dizziness, anxiety, tremors, insomnia, high anion gap metabolic acidosis (HAGMA)
