This medication is used for the treatment of chronic hepatitis B in adults.

How to take

Adult dose

1 tablet once daily, regardless of meals.

Precautions

Discontinuing this medication may lead to a rapid deterioration of hepatitis, thus patients should be monitored by a physician for at least several months after stopping treatment to carefully check their condition. Individuals with allergies to this medication or its components should not take it, and those with genetic lactose intolerance, lactose enzyme deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption should also refrain from using this medication. While taking this medication, side effects such as headache, abdominal pain, cough, back pain, fatigue, nausea, joint pain, diarrhea, and indigestion may occur, so symptoms should be monitored closely. Since it may affect kidney function, regular blood and urine tests should be conducted to monitor kidney status in patients with impaired kidney function or those taking medications that may burden the kidneys. Long-term use may also affect bone density, so attention should be paid to bone health. Safety for the fetus has not been adequately established during pregnancy; therefore, if it is necessary to take this medication during pregnancy, a discussion with a physician to carefully consider the benefits and risks is advised. This medication may interact with certain other specific medicines, so if you are taking other medications, you must inform your healthcare provider, especially when used concurrently with anticonvulsants, antituberculosis medications, and herbal medicines.
