This medication helps relieve various symptoms caused by a cold, including runny nose, nasal congestion, sneezing, sore throat, cough, phlegm, chills, fever, headache, joint pain, and muscle pain. It reduces the discomfort of having multiple cold symptoms, allowing patients to carry out their daily activities more comfortably. Therefore, it is used for the relief of cold symptoms.

How to take

Adult dose

For individuals aged 15 and older: Take 2 capsules three times a day, 30 minutes after meals

Precautions

This drug may burden the liver, so individuals who regularly consume three or more alcoholic beverages daily should consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking it. If serious symptoms such as severe rash, blisters, or red spots appear on the skin while taking this medication, discontinue use immediately and consult a healthcare professional. The acetaminophen in this medication can cause liver damage if taken in excess of 4,000mg per day, so it should not be taken with other acetaminophen-containing products. The pseudoephedrine component in this medication can rarely cause severe skin reactions, so if fever, skin rash, or small blisters occur, discontinue use immediately and consult a doctor or pharmacist. Individuals who have had allergic reactions to this medication, have experienced asthma, are under three months of age, are taking certain antidepressants or antipsychotics, or have severe hypertension or kidney disease should not take this medication. While taking this medication, it should not be combined with cough syrup, other cold medications, antipyretic analgesics, sedatives, or antihistamines. Especially children, pregnant or nursing women, and individuals with liver or kidney disease, heart disease, diabetes, or chronic hypertension should consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication. If symptoms like rash, itching, nausea, swelling, or dizziness occur while taking this medication, discontinue use immediately and consult a healthcare professional. Children under the age of 2 should not use this medication; if necessary, it must be done under medical supervision. Strictly adhere to the prescribed dosage and administration, avoid long-term use, and refrain from alcohol consumption during treatment. This medication may cause drowsiness, so caution is advised when driving or operating machinery. Rarely, serious metabolic acidosis may occur if this medication is taken with a specific antibiotic, flucloxacillin, so caution is advised, and if unusual symptoms appear, discontinue use immediately. Store this medication in an airtight container out of reach of children, avoiding direct sunlight and keeping it in a cool, dry place. Do not transfer this medication to another container to prevent misuse and maintain quality.

Interactions

Drug interactions
