Short-term treatment of active benign gastric ulcer and erosive gastroesophageal reflux disease
This medication is used for the short-term treatment of active benign gastric ulcers and erosive gastroesophageal reflux disease.
This medication should be taken at least 1 hour before meals on an empty stomach. Swallow it whole with at least half a cup of water. Do not take it with other beverages besides water. Do not chew or crush this medication. Short-term treatment of active benign gastric ulcer: 30/600 mg once daily for 8 weeks. Short-term treatment of erosive gastroesophageal reflux disease: 30/600 mg once daily for 8 weeks.
This medication should not be used by patients who have had an allergic reaction to certain ingredients. Severe hypersensitivity reactions such as anaphylaxis, angioedema, and bronchospasm may occur, so caution is needed. Also, concomitant use with certain drugs used for HIV treatment may reduce the effectiveness due to interactions, so co-administration should be avoided. Pregnant women are advised not to take this medication as it may affect the fetus. Patients with severe renal impairment or thyroid disorders should use this medication with caution. Elderly patients, those with impaired liver function, and nursing women should take special caution when using this medication. If allergy symptoms, skin rashes, or difficulty breathing occur during the use of this medication, discontinue immediately and consult a physician. Long-term use may lead to nutritional deficiencies such as vitamin B12 deficiency or hypomagnesemia, so regular testing is recommended. This medication can reduce gastric acid secretion, increasing the risk of bacterial overgrowth in the stomach; if diarrhea or infection symptoms persist, inform your healthcare provider. Also, there may be potential interactions with other medications, so if you are currently taking any other drugs, inform your healthcare provider before use. In case of overdose, gastric lavage or treatment according to symptoms may be necessary, so it is important to adhere to the prescribed dosage and administration. Finally, store this medication in a safe place out of reach of children and avoid transferring it to other containers.
