This medication is used for the short-term treatment of active benign gastric ulcers and erosive gastroesophageal reflux disease.

How to take

Adult dose

This medication should be taken at least 1 hour before meals on an empty stomach. Swallow it whole with at least half a cup of water. Do not take it with other beverages besides water. Do not chew or crush this medication. Short-term treatment of active benign gastric ulcer: 30/600 mg once daily for 8 weeks. Short-term treatment of erosive gastroesophageal reflux disease: 30/600 mg once daily for 8 weeks.

Precautions

This medication should not be used by patients who have had an allergic reaction to certain ingredients. Severe hypersensitivity reactions such as anaphylaxis, angioedema, and bronchospasm may occur, so caution is needed. Also, concomitant use with certain drugs used for HIV treatment may reduce the effectiveness due to interactions, so co-administration should be avoided. Pregnant women are advised not to take this medication as it may affect the fetus. Patients with severe renal impairment or thyroid disorders should use this medication with caution.
