Precautions

This medication can put stress on the liver, so individuals who regularly consume more than three alcoholic drinks a day should consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking it. The acetaminophen component in this medication can rarely cause serious skin reactions, so if any skin rash or allergic symptoms occur, stop taking it immediately and consult an expert. The maximum daily dosage of acetaminophen should not exceed 4,000 mg, and this medication should not be taken with other products containing acetaminophen. Individuals who are allergic to this medication or its ingredients, those who have experienced asthma, infants under 3 months of age, and those currently taking or recently discontinuing certain antidepressants or antipsychotics should not take this medication. During treatment, do not take cough medicines, other cold medicines, antipyretic analgesics, sedatives, or antihistamines together. Children who have had or are suspected of having chickenpox or influenza, individuals with allergies, or those with liver, kidney, heart, or other conditions should definitely consult an expert before taking this medication. If symptoms such as rash, itching, nausea, swelling, or dizziness develop during use, stop taking it immediately and consult a doctor or pharmacist. In particular, severe allergic reactions, damage to skin mucous membranes, asthma symptoms, liver dysfunction, or signs of pneumonia require immediate medical attention. This medication is not used for children under 2 years of age, and if necessary, a doctor's consultation should be sought. Follow the prescribed dosage and regimen strictly during use and do not use for long periods. When used by children, supervision by an adult is necessary. Avoid alcohol during treatment, as drowsiness may occur; therefore, refrain from driving or operating machinery. Be cautious when taking this medication with certain drugs, as they may reduce the metabolic capacity of acetaminophen, and watch out for symptoms of metabolic acidosis that may occur when this medication is combined with certain antibiotics.
