Precautions

This medication may put a strain on the liver, so individuals who regularly consume more than three glasses of alcohol a day should consult with a doctor or pharmacist before taking it. The ingredients in this medication can rarely cause serious skin reactions, so if a rash or other abnormal symptoms occur, discontinue use immediately and consult a specialist. It contains acetaminophen, so caution should be taken to not exceed the maximum daily dosage, and it should not be taken in conjunction with other acetaminophen-containing products. Because it contains pseudoephedrine, if symptoms such as rash or pustules occur, use should be discontinued and a specialist consulted. Individuals who have shown allergic reactions to this medication, have experienced asthma, infants under three months old, those taking certain antidepressants, or those with severe hypertension or kidney disease should not take it. During use, it is safest to avoid taking cough medicines or other cold medications, antipyretics, sedatives, and antihistamines. Children infected with chickenpox or influenza, those with allergies, or individuals with underlying conditions such as liver, kidney, or heart disease should consult a specialist before use. If symptoms such as rash, itching, vomiting, dizziness, or tremors occur during use, discontinue immediately and consult a doctor or pharmacist. Especially if severe allergic reactions, Stevens-Johnson syndrome, asthma attacks, liver dysfunction, respiratory distress, or severe headaches occur, seek immediate medical help. This medication should not be administered to children under 2 years old, and if absolutely necessary, a doctor’s consultation is required. When taking, adhere to the prescribed method and dosage, avoid long-term use, and ensure children are supervised by a guardian when taking it. Avoid alcohol during use, and be cautious as it may cause drowsiness which can impair the ability to drive or operate machinery. Additionally, it may affect drug metabolism when taken with certain medications, so consult a specialist regarding any other medications being taken.
