Efficacy & effects

Effect for induction and consolidation therapy of acute promyelocytic leukemia

  • Acute promyelocytic leukemia
View approved original text

This drug is used for induction and consolidation therapy in adults with resistant or relapsed acute promyelocytic leukemia. It is specifically applied to patients diagnosed with acute promyelocytic leukemia through chromosome or genetic testing, and it is suitable for individuals who have previously received retinoids and chemotherapy. However, its efficacy and safety are not established in cases of relapse after complete remission with this drug. Additionally, the response rate has not been investigated for other subtypes of acute myeloid leukemia (AML). Therefore, it is primarily used for the treatment of acute promyelocytic leukemia.
