This medication is used to relieve various symptoms of a cold, such as sore throat, cough, phlegm, chills, fever, headache, joint pain, and muscle pain.

How to take

Adult dose

Aged 15 years and older: Take 2 capsules three times a day after meals 30 minutes.

Child dose

Aged 8 to under 15 years: Take 1 capsule three times a day after meals 30 minutes.

Precautions

This medication may put a strain on the liver; therefore, individuals who regularly consume more than three glasses of alcohol per day should consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication. This medication contains acetaminophen, which can rarely cause severe skin reactions; if any rashes or other unusual symptoms occur, discontinue use immediately and consult a professional. Care should be taken not to exceed the daily maximum dosage of acetaminophen, which is 4,000mg, and it should not be taken alongside other acetaminophen-containing products. Those who have had allergic reactions to this medication or its ingredients, those who have experienced asthma, infants under 3 months, and those currently taking or who have recently stopped taking certain antidepressants or psychiatric medications should not use this medication. It is also safe to avoid taking other medications that suppress coughing or phlegm or cold medicines, antipyretics, sedatives, and antihistamines while using this medicine. Especially children, pregnant women, nursing mothers, individuals with chronic illnesses, or those who are weak should consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication. If symptoms such as rash, itchiness, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, or respiratory distress occur during use, discontinue use immediately and consult medical personnel. Children under 2 years of age should generally not take this medication, and if necessary, they should be examined by a doctor. When taking this medication, adhere to the prescribed dosage and regimen, avoid prolonged use, and ensure that children take it under the supervision of a guardian. Avoid alcohol while taking this medication, and consult professionals if taking certain medications concurrently, as there may be a risk of side effects. This medication should be stored out of reach of children and kept in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, and should not be transferred to another container to maintain quality.

  • Hives, severe swelling, chest tightness, cold sweat, pallor → severe allergic reaction
  • Severe rash with high fever, blisters, painful lesions on mucous membranes of mouth/eyes → severe skin abnormal reaction
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, asthma attack, cough + fever accompanied respiratory abnormalities → respiratory problems
  • Yellowing of skin or eyes (jaundice), profound lethargy → liver abnormalities (jaundice)

Mild side effects

Rash, erythema (redness), itching, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, constipation, swelling, dizziness, anxiety, tremors, insomnia, high anion gap metabolic acidosis (HAGMA)

Drug interactions

Do not take this medication with MAO inhibitors (antidepressants, antipsychotics, mood stabilizers, anti-Parkinson's medications, etc.). Do not take with oral medications containing cough suppressants, other cold medications, antipyretics, sedatives, and antihistamines. Do not take this medication within 2 weeks of stopping MAO inhibitors. If taking other medications like diabetes medication, gout medication, arthritis medication, anticoagulants, or steroids.

Storage

This medication may be sensitive to air or moisture; therefore, it should be stored in a tightly sealed container. It is advisable to keep the storage temperature between 1 to 30 degrees Celsius at room temperature. Storing it this way will help maintain the effectiveness of the medication for a longer period.
