Precautions
This medicine should be used with caution in individuals who regularly consume more than three drinks of alcohol daily, as liver damage or gastrointestinal bleeding may occur; consultation with a physician or pharmacist is essential. Care should be taken not to exceed the maximum daily dose of 4,000 mg due to the acetaminophen component, and it should not be taken with other products containing acetaminophen. Rarely, serious skin reactions such as acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis, Stevens-Johnson syndrome, and toxic epidermal necrolysis may occur. If skin rash or hypersensitivity reactions appear, discontinue use immediately. Due to the presence of pseudoephedrine, if symptoms such as fever, rash, or multiple small pustules occur, discontinue the medication and consult a physician or pharmacist. This medicine should not be taken by those with a history of allergic reactions to this medicine or its components, individuals who have experienced asthma, infants under three months old, or those with certain metabolic genetic disorders. Additionally, people currently taking or who have stopped monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) within the last two weeks should not take this medication. Patients with severe hypertension or significant kidney disease should also avoid using this medicine. While taking this medicine, it is advisable not to use other cold medicines, antipyretic analgesics, sedatives, or antihistamines that may interact with it. Infants or children infected with varicella or influenza, those with allergic tendencies, or a prior history of drug allergies should consult a specialist before use. Pregnant or breastfeeding women, seniors with liver, kidney, or heart disease, or individuals with weakened constitutions should consult a physician before use. If symptoms such as rash, itching, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, or insomnia occur during use, discontinue use immediately and consult healthcare personnel. In particular, if severe symptoms such as acute allergic reactions, severe skin rashes, asthma attacks, liver dysfunction symptoms, respiratory distress, or sudden severe headaches occur, discontinue use immediately and seek emergency treatment. This medicine should generally not be administered to children under two years of age, except in special cases, and dosing should strictly follow the prescribed methods and dosages. Long-term use should be avoided, and alcohol should be refrained from, as the risk of side effects may increase with certain drug co-administration.
