Taking this drug with certain antifungals or HIV treatments can excessively increase its effects, thus concomitant use is contraindicated. Patients with severely impaired kidney function should be cautious, as blood pressure lowering may further worsen kidney function. For elderly patients, it is safe to start with a low dose and gradually adjust. During treatment with this drug, serious side effects such as liver dysfunction or jaundice may occur, so symptoms should be closely monitored. Cardiac-related abnormal symptoms may include slow heart rate or dizziness. If discontinuing this medication suddenly, symptoms may worsen, so the dosage should be gradually reduced according to the doctor's instructions. If blood pressure becomes too low, dosage adjustment or temporary discontinuation may be necessary. Due to dizziness caused by blood pressure lowering, caution is advised when driving or operating hazardous machinery. This drug is metabolized in the liver, so interactions may occur when taken with certain medications. Particularly, when taken together with some antifungals, antivirals, antibiotics, or cardiac medications, the drug's effects may be either excessive or weakened, so it is crucial to consult with healthcare professionals. Pregnant women should not take this drug, and nursing mothers should decide on its use considering the therapeutic benefit versus breastfeeding advantages.
