Precautions

This medication may increase the risk of serious cardiovascular problems such as myocardial infarction and stroke in patients with cardiovascular diseases or risk factors. The risk is particularly heightened during long-term use or high doses, so it is essential to carefully monitor for abnormal symptoms during administration. Furthermore, this medication can cause serious gastrointestinal issues, such as gastrointestinal bleeding, ulcers, and perforations. Elderly patients or long-term users are at a higher risk of gastrointestinal adverse reactions and should exercise caution. Patients with a history of gastrointestinal ulcers or bleeding, severe liver, kidney, or heart dysfunction, and those allergic to the components of this medication should not use it. Asthma patients or those who have previously experienced allergic reactions to aspirin and other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs should also refrain from taking this medication. Pregnant women in the late stages of pregnancy should avoid this medication due to the risk of premature closure of the ductus arteriosus in the fetus. During the use of this medication, do not exceed the recommended dosage and avoid concurrent use with other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. Patients with hypertension may experience increased blood pressure with this medication, so regular monitoring of blood pressure is necessary, and caution is advised for patients with heart failure or edema. Patients with impaired kidney function or dehydration may develop kidney damage while taking this medication, so close observation is required. In cases of liver dysfunction, careful monitoring for any changes in liver function during the use of this medication is necessary, and if abnormal symptoms arise, discontinue its use immediately. Hematological adverse reactions such as anemia or platelet dysfunction may occur; therefore, regular blood tests should be conducted during long-term use. This medication can cause serious allergic reactions, such as anaphylaxis. If hypersensitivity symptoms occur, seek emergency treatment immediately. If severe rashes, blisters, or redness appear on the skin, discontinue the medication immediately and consult medical personnel. This medication may mask the symptoms of infections, so careful diagnosis is warranted in cases of suspected infection. It should not be used in patients with aspirin hypersensitive asthma and should be administered with caution to asthma patients. If symptoms such as blurred vision or decreased vision occur, discontinue use and undergo an ophthalmological examination. If symptoms of aseptic meningitis appear, the relationship with this medication should be confirmed. This medication can interact with other drugs; therefore, caution is necessary when using it together with aspirin, anticoagulants, ACE inhibitors, diuretics, lithium, methotrexate, and selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors. During pregnancy, particularly after 20 weeks of gestation, it should be used at the lowest effective dosage for the shortest duration possible to minimize the risk of fetal renal dysfunction and oligohydramnios and should be avoided in the late stages of pregnancy. During breastfeeding, this medication may be transferred to breast milk, potentially causing adverse reactions in infants; thus, it is advisable to discontinue either breastfeeding or medication administration. Safety in children under 6 months has not been established, so it is best not to use this medication. Elderly individuals are at a higher risk of adverse effects due to decreased bodily functions; therefore, dosage adjustment and close monitoring are essential. In cases of overdose, serious symptoms such as dizziness, nausea, vomiting, liver dysfunction, kidney failure, respiratory distress, and hypotension may occur. If overdose is suspected, discontinue use immediately and seek prompt medical attention.
