How to take

Adult dose

For individuals aged 15 years and older: Take 1 capsule 30 minutes after each meal, 3 times a day.

Precautions

This medication should not be taken by infants under 3 months of age. People who have had allergic reactions to this medicine or its ingredients should avoid taking it. Also, individuals taking or who have discontinued certain antidepressants or antipsychotics known as MAO inhibitors within the last two weeks should not take this medication. While taking this medication, it is advisable not to use other cough suppressants, cold medication, antihistamines, or sedatives. Before taking this medication, individuals with a history of allergies or previous allergic reactions to medications should consult a doctor or pharmacist. Those with liver, kidney, heart, thyroid diseases, diabetes, hypertension, glaucoma, urinary difficulties, as well as elderly persons, those with weakened bodies, and individuals with high fever should consult with a healthcare professional before use. It is also important for pregnant or nursing women to consult with a doctor before taking this medication. Additionally, smokers or individuals with persistent coughs or excessive phlegm due to asthma, chronic bronchitis, or emphysema should take caution. This medication contains a dye known as Yellow No. 5, so those with allergies to this substance should use it cautiously. If symptoms such as skin rash, itching, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, dizziness, anxiety, tremors, insomnia, or persistent thirst occur during use, discontinue the medication immediately and consult a healthcare expert. Furthermore, if symptoms do not improve after 5 to 6 doses, medical attention should be sought. Children under 2 years of age should not take this medication unless in special cases, and a doctor's consultation is necessary if needed. This medication should be taken strictly according to the prescribed method and dosage, and for children under 7 years old, a syrup form is preferable.
