Coclnasal Spray (Sodium Chloride)

Adult dosage

If needed, spray 1-8 times in each nasal cavity every 2-3 hours. Insert the nozzle into the nasal cavity with the tip slightly directed backward. Press the pump firmly to activate the spray, then deliver the appropriate amount into both nasal cavities, followed by tilting the head to the right for 10 seconds and then to the left for another 10 seconds. After that, pinch the nose tightly and block the nasal cavity while leaning the head forward for 10 seconds.

Children's dosage

Infants: 1 spray. 1 month to 12 months: 1-2 sprays. 1 to 2 years: 1-3 sprays. 2 to 5 years: 1-4 sprays. 5 to 8 years: 1-5 sprays. 8 years to 12 years: 1-6 sprays.

This medicine should not be used by individuals who are allergic to benzalkonium chloride or other components. People who have had allergic reactions to nasal drops in the past should consult a doctor or pharmacist before using this medicine. It is important for individuals currently receiving other treatments, those who have recently had nasal surgery, or those with lesions in the nose to consult a professional before using this medicine. This medicine is for intranasal use only and should not be shared among multiple people for hygiene reasons. When using, it is advisable to tilt the head sideways or lie down to prevent the liquid from going down the throat. Otherwise, it may cause a sudden spasm of constriction in the throat. Benzalkonium chloride contained in this medicine may cause bronchospasm, especially when used for a prolonged period, leading to irritation or swelling inside the nose. When storing, keep it in a cool place to avoid heat, and never use expired products. It is necessary to keep it in a safe place out of reach of children. Also, transferring the medicine from its original container to another container may lead to misuse or degradation of the medicine’s quality, so it should always be kept in the original container with the lid tightly closed.

Mild side effects

Irritation in the nasal cavity, swelling, and edema of the nasal mucosa may occur with the use of nasal drops.
