Adult dosage

This medication can be administered at a dosage of 1 tablet once daily for patients receiving sitagliptin 100 mg and dapagliflozin 10 mg, without regard to meals. The tablet should be swallowed whole.

Precautions

This medication may cause allergic reactions, and thus should not be taken by individuals who have previously exhibited hypersensitivity to this drug or its components. Additionally, it should not be used in patients with type 1 diabetes, diabetic ketoacidosis, or those undergoing dialysis. Patients with poor kidney function, the elderly, and those on diuretics should carefully monitor their renal function and fluid status before and during use, as there may be risks of dehydration and worsening renal function. While taking this drug, it is important to vigilantly observe for symptoms of pancreatitis (such as severe abdominal pain), and if such symptoms are suspected, the use of the medication should be immediately discontinued and a doctor should be consulted. As this drug lowers blood sugar levels, there is an increased risk of hypoglycemia when taken in conjunction with other hypoglycemic medications such as insulin or sulfonylureas. Hypoglycemic symptoms may occur, so one should pay attention to these symptoms and measure blood sugar levels frequently as necessary, and dosage adjustments of other hypoglycemic agents may be required to reduce the risk of hypoglycemia. Fluid loss can lead to dehydration and hypotension, therefore, especially for the elderly or those with a history of low blood pressure, blood pressure and fluid status should be frequently monitored. This medication may increase the risk of genital and urinary tract infections, thus prompt treatment should be sought if related symptoms develop. Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should avoid taking this medication, especially while breastfeeding, as it may affect the baby. This drug is not intended for use in children under 18 years as its safety and efficacy have not been established in this age group. In cases of overdose, there is no specific antidote, and appropriate treatment should be provided per symptoms, with consideration for treatments such as dialysis if necessary. Caution should be exercised while driving or operating machinery due to the possibility of hypoglycemic symptoms, and special attention is needed when combined with other medications that may also induce hypoglycemia. This medication should be stored in its original container and kept out of reach of children.
