Precautions

This medication may cause allergic reactions, so individuals who have previously had hypersensitivity to this drug or its components should not take it. In addition, depending on the type of diabetes, this medication may not be appropriate, especially for patients with type 1 diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis. Patients with very poor kidney function or those on dialysis should also refrain from taking this medication. Individuals with reduced fluid volume or kidney issues should consult their doctor before taking this medication, and blood pressure and kidney function should be monitored regularly during use. Additionally, genital and urinary tract infections may occur, so if infection symptoms appear, prompt treatment is necessary. This medication is not recommended for women who are pregnant or breastfeeding, especially during breastfeeding. For elderly patients, kidney function may be diminished, so it is necessary to conduct kidney function tests before and after taking this medication. There is no specific antidote in case of overdose, so appropriate treatment according to symptoms must be sought and hospital monitoring may be necessary if needed. Care should be taken when driving or operating machinery during the use of this medication due to the risk of hypoglycemia symptoms, and immediate action should be taken if symptoms appear.
