Precautions

This medication contains Dobeisilcalcium Hydrate as the main ingredient. First, this medication should not be used by individuals who are allergic to Dobeisilcalcium Hydrate or any other components of this medication. Furthermore, women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should not take this medication. As this medication contains lactose, individuals with genetic problems digesting lactose should not take this medication. For example, those with galactose intolerance, Lapp lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption fall under this category. Patients with poor kidney function should exercise caution when taking this medication. Since this medication is excreted through the kidneys, dose adjustments may be necessary for patients with renal failure. Particularly, patients with severe renal failure requiring dialysis may need a reduced dose. Patients with impaired liver function should also be careful when taking this medication. Liver function levels may rise after taking this medication in patients with liver issues, so the liver condition should be closely monitored, and treatment effects and side effects should be evaluated. This medication contains sodium pyrosulfite, which may cause allergic reactions in individuals sensitive to sulfites. Asthma patients, in particular, may experience these reactions more frequently, so caution is advised. Common gastrointestinal disturbances such as headaches, abdominal pain, nausea, diarrhea, and vomiting may occur while taking this medication. There have also been reports of elevated liver enzymes and musculoskeletal symptoms such as joint pain or muscle pain. Rarely, hypersensitivity reactions such as skin rash, allergic dermatitis, itching, hives, and facial swelling may occur; and very rarely, severe allergic reactions such as anaphylaxis may arise. During treatment with this medication, symptoms such as fever, chills, lethargy, and fatigue may occur, but these symptoms usually resolve upon discontinuing the medication. A serious blood disorder called agranulocytosis may occur rarely, in which case symptoms of infection such as high fever, oral inflammation, sore throat, and inflammation of the anal and genital areas may be present, and if these symptoms occur, a doctor should be notified immediately. This medication may cause severe allergic reactions, so if any allergy symptoms appear, administration should be stopped immediately, and medical consultation is necessary. No known interactions with other medications exist, but since this medication may affect blood test results, it is advisable to conduct laboratory tests such as blood tests before starting treatment.
