Child dose

Children under the age of 12 should take the recommended dose as needed every 4-6 hours. This medication should be taken for the shortest duration possible at the minimum effective dose and should not exceed 5 doses per day (75 mg/kg).

Precautions

This medication can pose a risk of liver damage, so individuals who regularly consume more than three alcoholic drinks a day should consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking it. It contains acetaminophen, which may cause severe rashes or allergic reactions on the skin, so if a skin rash or hypersensitivity reaction occurs during use, the medication should be discontinued immediately. Care must be taken not to exceed the maximum daily dosage of 4,000 mg, and it should not be taken in conjunction with other products that contain acetaminophen. People with allergies to this drug, peptic ulcer, severe liver dysfunction, renal dysfunction, or decreased heart function should not take it. Those with a history of aspirin-induced asthma, those taking certain medications, and those who have consumed alcohol should avoid taking this medication. Individuals with liver or kidney problems, peptic ulcers, blood disorders, bleeding tendencies, asthma, elderly patients, children under 2 years old, pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, and long-term users of warfarin should consult a specialist before taking this medication. If sudden shortness of breath, hives, rash, nausea, vomiting, severe abdominal pain, or unusual symptoms of the skin or mucous membranes occur during use, discontinue the medication immediately and seek medical advice. Those taking this medication for a long time should have regular blood tests and liver function tests, and if abnormalities are found, the dosage should be adjusted or discontinued. For children and the elderly, the minimum dose should be used, and any adverse reactions should be carefully monitored. Do not take it with other anti-inflammatory pain relievers, and do not continue use for more than 10 days for pain or 3 days for fever. In case of infection, since this medication may mask symptoms, it should be taken with appropriate antibiotics as prescribed by a physician. In the event of an overdose, even if there are no symptoms, immediate hospitalization for liver protective treatment is required, and it should be stored out of reach of children and kept in its original container.
