Treatment of type 2 diabetes by improving blood sugar control
This medication is used to improve blood sugar control in adults with type 2 diabetes. It can be administered alone or in combination with other medications along with dietary therapy and exercise. It is also used in patients with type 2 diabetes who have cardiovascular disease and insufficient blood sugar control; in this case, it is important to consult a specialist and refer to clinical trial information. This medication effectively helps diabetes treatment by managing blood sugar.
The recommended dose of this medication is 10 mg once daily for monotherapy and for additional combination therapy with other blood glucose-lowering agents such as insulin. If the patient tolerates 10 mg well but requires additional blood sugar control, the dose may be increased to 25 mg once daily. This medication can be taken regardless of meals. Swallow the tablet whole. If a dose is missed, take it as soon as remembered.

Care is required for the elderly or patients at risk of fluid loss due to potential hypotension or dehydration. This medication may have a slight impact on driving or operating machinery; especially those at risk of hypoglycemia should be cautious.
