  • Difficulty in blood sugar control for patients with type 2 diabetes
View approved original text

This medication is used to assist in blood sugar control for patients with type 2 diabetes. It is used as an adjunct to dietary and exercise therapy and can also be used alone. In cases where prior diabetes medication treatment has not been experienced and monotherapy is insufficient, it can be combined with Metformin. Additionally, when blood sugar control is difficult with sulfonylurea, Metformin, thiazolidinedione, or insulin monotherapy, this medication is used as a combination treatment. It is also added as an adjunct in multiple drug combination therapies when sufficient blood sugar control is not achieved. Therefore, this medication plays an important role in improving blood sugar control in various situations.
