Precautions
This medication should not be used in children and adolescents under 18 years of age. Patients with a history of allergic reactions to this medication or to aminoglycoside antibiotics should not receive it. This medication should not be used in patients with damage or rupture of the bladder wall. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant, as well as nursing women, should use this medication cautiously, as it may affect the fetus or neonate. Patients with impaired kidney function or systemic toxicity, and those with auditory symptoms such as tinnitus or dizziness should also use this medication with caution. Care should be taken when administering this medication to patients in severe dehydration, those who are generally weak, those with neuromuscular diseases, and the elderly. This medication should only be used locally in the bladder and should not be applied to other areas such as wounds or burn sites. If there is damage to the bladder mucosa, the medication can be absorbed systemically, which can increase the risk of side effects; therefore, it should not be used. Patients with kidney disease or those in a dehydrated state should be particularly cautious as it may burden the kidneys, and usage should be immediately discontinued if abnormal symptoms appear. If auditory symptoms emerge, the medication should be halted and a doctor consulted. This medication may exacerbate muscle weakness, so patients with neuromuscular diseases should always consult healthcare professionals before use. Disruption of intestinal balance due to the use of antibiotics may lead to serious gastrointestinal conditions such as diarrhea or pseudomembranous colitis, so immediately inform healthcare professionals if diarrhea occurs during treatment. There are no specific interactions reported with other medications, but it's important to inform healthcare professionals about any medications currently being taken. Use during pregnancy may pose risks to the fetus, so strict adherence to the doctor’s instructions is required when using this medication. While the likelihood of drug transfer through breast milk is low, careful observation of the infant's health is necessary during nursing. The safety and effectiveness of this medication in children and adolescents have not been sufficiently established, so avoidance is advised. This medication is sensitive to light and heat, so it must be stored in the refrigerator. Failure to adhere to storage conditions may result in reduced efficacy. Do not transfer to another container, and store securely to prevent misuse.
