This medicine is used for patients who need to take telmisartan and rosuvastatin simultaneously. Telmisartan helps in the treatment of essential hypertension and reduces the risk of cardiovascular diseases. It particularly reduces the risk of myocardial infarction, stroke, and cardiovascular death in the elderly who are at high risk for cardiovascular disease or in whom ACE inhibitors cannot be used. Meanwhile, rosuvastatin is used for the treatment of hypercholesterolemia and dyslipidemia and is effective as an adjunctive therapy when dietary control is insufficient. It also helps to reduce the risk of cardiovascular diseases, thus lowering the risks of stroke, myocardial infarction, and arterial revascularization procedures. The combined use of these two medications is used to improve cardiovascular health.
