This medication is indicated for patients who need to take both telmisartan and rosuvastatin. Telmisartan is mainly used for the treatment of essential hypertension and for reducing the risk of cardiovascular diseases, particularly in high-risk patients where ACE inhibitors cannot be used to lower the risks of myocardial infarction, stroke, and cardiovascular mortality. Rosuvastatin helps to improve hypercholesterolemia and dyslipidemia, and is used as an adjunct when dietary modifications are inadequate. It also slows the progression of atherosclerosis in patients with hypercholesterolemia and reduces the risk of stroke and myocardial infarction in certain high-risk patients. The combination of these two drugs aids in effectively managing hypertension and dyslipidemia and reducing the risk of cardiovascular diseases.
