This drug helps lower elevated total cholesterol and LDL cholesterol, Apo B protein, triglycerides, and non-HDL cholesterol levels in patients with primary hypercholesterolemia and mixed dyslipidemia, while increasing levels of good cholesterol, HDL cholesterol. It can be used in homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia patients either in combination with or as an alternative to other treatments. This medication is used alongside dietary therapy and is recommended when diet control or non-drug treatments are insufficient. It must be used under the guidance of a specialist to reduce the risk of cardiovascular diseases caused by dyslipidemia. It is also important to check for dyslipidemia due to other diseases or medication effects before administration. This medication safely regulates cholesterol and lipid levels, contributing to health improvement.
