Adult dosage

This medication is taken once daily, regardless of mealtimes. For primary hypercholesterolemia, the dosage range is 10/10mg to 10/80mg per day. An initial dose of 10/10mg or 10/20mg per day is recommended. For patients requiring a greater reduction in LDL cholesterol (greater than 55%), an initial dose of 10/40mg per day is recommended. After starting treatment or adjusting the dosage, lipid levels should be checked at intervals of at least 2 weeks.

This medication can cause a serious side effect called rhabdomyolysis, which may lead to kidney damage. Therefore, if symptoms such as muscle pain or weakness occur, you must consult a doctor immediately. This medication should not be used in individuals who are allergic to the active ingredient or components, those with severely impaired liver function, those with muscle diseases, pregnant women or women who may become pregnant, breastfeeding women, individuals taking certain antiviral medications, or those with lactose intolerance. Caution is advised for individuals with a history of alcoholism or liver disease, those with weak kidney function, patients with hypothyroidism, and elderly patients as they are at higher risk for myopathy, and dosage adjustments and regular examinations may be necessary. While taking this medication, side effects such as abnormal liver function, muscle pain, muscle weakness, fatigue, dyspepsia, headaches, and dizziness may occur. If any symptoms arise, you should inform your healthcare provider immediately. This medication may interact with other drugs, especially those that affect liver metabolism or may induce muscle toxicity. Consult with your physician when taking these types of medications. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should not take this medication, and women of childbearing potential should employ adequate contraceptive measures during treatment. The safety and efficacy of this medication in children have not been established, so it is not recommended. In cases of overdose, there is no specific antidote; treatment and supportive care should be provided according to symptoms, and regular tests related to liver function and muscle health are necessary. When storing this medication, keep it out of reach of children and avoid transferring it to another container.

Hives, severe swelling (edema), chest tightness, difficulty breathing, cold sweats, pallor, severe rash with fever, blisters, skin peeling, pain in mouth/eyes mucosa, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, asthma attack, respiratory abnormality with coughing + fever, yellowing of skin or eyes (jaundice), extreme lethargy, sudden and severe headache, thunderclap headache, seizures, confusion, visual disturbances, paralysis, urination
