This medication is used for patients who require simultaneous intake of telmisartan and rosuvastatin. Telmisartan is effective primarily in treating essential hypertension and reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease, particularly helping to lower the risk of myocardial infarction, stroke, and death from cardiovascular disease in high-risk patients who cannot use ACE inhibitors. Rosuvastatin calcium is used as an adjunct to dietary control in patients with primary hypercholesterolemia and mixed hyperlipidemia, lowering cholesterol levels in hypercholesterolemic patients and slowing the progression of atherosclerosis. It also contributes to reducing the risk of stroke, myocardial infarction, and arterial revascularization in middle-aged patients at high risk for cardiovascular diseases. Therefore, this medication is used for the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular disease caused by hypertension and hyperlipidemia.
