This medication is used to prevent infections caused by minor cuts, scrapes, and burns, while also providing temporary pain relief.
Dosage and Administration
Adult dosage
Apply an appropriate amount to the wound 1 to 3 times a day.
Children's dosage
For children over 2 years old, apply an appropriate amount to the wound 1 to 3 times a day.
Precautions
This medication should not be used in patients who are allergic to amide-type local anesthetics, have a perforated eardrum, or on the eyes, around the eyes, on extensive skin areas, or on areas with secondary infection. Long-term use of this medication may lead to kidney dysfunction or hearing loss; therefore, long-term use should be avoided. In cases of severe wounds or burns, puncture wounds, animal bites, septic patients, patients with epilepsy, those with heart conduction disorders or liver impairment, pregnant or nursing women, and children under 2 years old, it is essential to consult a doctor or pharmacist before use. If symptoms of allergy such as rash, itching, redness, swelling, or blisters occur during use, discontinue use immediately and consult a healthcare professional. If symptoms do not improve after 5-6 days of use or reappear, stop using the medication and consult a doctor or pharmacist. This medication is for topical application only and must not be taken orally. Adhere strictly to the prescribed dosage and administration, and particularly when used in children, supervision by an adult is required. Use only for mild symptoms, and appropriate measures should be taken if irritation or signs of infection occur, as resistant organisms may develop. It is safer not to use it for extended periods on skin with extensive burns or ulcers. If this medication is accidentally ingested, discontinue use immediately and consult a doctor. When used in conjunction with antiarrhythmic drugs, side effects may be exacerbated, so caution is needed.
