Precautions

This medication should not be used in emergency situations such as acute asthma symptoms or acute bronchospasm. If a fast-acting bronchodilator is used more frequently than usual to relieve asthma symptoms, it is a sign that asthma is not well controlled, and medical attention should be sought. Asthma symptoms may recur or worsen while on this medication, so do not stop taking the medication without doctor supervision. Patients should consult healthcare providers immediately if their asthma symptoms do not improve or worsen. Allergic reactions may occur after using this medication, particularly symptoms such as difficulty breathing, swelling of the lips or face, hives, or skin rash; in such cases, use should be stopped immediately and alternative treatments should be sought. Rarely, this medication can cause paradoxical bronchospasm, which is where the bronchial tubes constrict more severely; if this occurs, stop the medication immediately and inform a healthcare professional. This medication contains lactose, so patients with lactose intolerance or related genetic conditions should not use it. Patients with heart disease, seizures, hyperthyroidism, hypokalemia, diabetes, pulmonary tuberculosis, or chronic infections should exercise special caution when using this medication and follow their doctor's instructions. The most common side effect of this medication is headache, but oral and throat pain or vocal cord dysfunction, musculoskeletal pain, and other side effects may occur as well. Rarely, symptoms such as angioedema, skin rash, or hyperglycemia may present. This medication may cause changes in heart rate or blood pressure, so patients with heart conditions should be particularly cautious. It may also lower blood potassium levels, which can affect heart health, but this is usually temporary. Diabetes patients should monitor their blood sugar levels more closely while taking this medication. Because this medication contains inhaled corticosteroids, long-term high-dose use may result in systemic side effects, so it is important to control asthma symptoms with the minimum effective dose. This medication may interact with other drugs; therefore, especially when using medications that prolong the QT interval, beta blockers, certain antidepressants, diuretics, etc., consulting with healthcare professionals is essential. During pregnancy, this medication may affect the fetus, and its use should only be considered if the benefits outweigh the risks, with careful management required for asthma during pregnancy. During breastfeeding, the components of this medication may transfer to breast milk; thus, the decision to use should consider potential effects on the nursing child. In case of overdose, symptoms such as abnormal heart rhythms, tremors, headache, or vomiting may occur; in severe cases, medical treatment may be required. This medication is for inhalation use only and should not be swallowed. Patients should familiarize themselves with the correct inhalation technique, take it at the same time every day, and rinse their mouth with water after use. Store the medication in a cool place below 25 degrees Celsius, away from moisture and light, and out of reach of children.
