This medication is used for patients who need to take both valsartan and rosuvastatin simultaneously. Valsartan is effective in treating essential hypertension and heart failure, and it also applies to heart failure patients who cannot use ACE inhibitors. It helps reduce the risk of death in patients with left ventricular dysfunction after myocardial infarction. Rosuvastatin controls hypercholesterolemia and dyslipidemia and is used as an adjunct when dietary management is insufficient. This medication delays the progression of atherosclerosis and contributes to reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease, stroke, and myocardial infarction. Therefore, this medication is used for the management and treatment of cardiovascular disease risk.

Patients with severe liver or kidney impairment, certain liver diseases, or muscle-related diseases should also avoid this medication. Elderly patients or those with hyperkalemia and patients with liver dysfunction should exercise caution when taking this medication and closely monitor their condition to prevent excessive drops in blood pressure. This medication can cause severe muscle adverse reactions such as myalgia, myopathy, or rarely, rhabdomyolysis, so immediate consultation with a physician is required if muscle pain or weakness symptoms appear. Patients with a history of muscle diseases or those taking other drugs that can cause muscle toxicity should exercise additional caution.
