(Hypertension, Heart Failure) treatment and (Hyperlipidemia, Cardiovascular disease risk) improvement
This medication is used for patients who need to take both Candesartan cilexetil and Rosuvastatin. Candesartan cilexetil is primarily used for essential hypertension patients and those with heart failure who have decreased left ventricular systolic function, particularly when additional therapy with ACE inhibitors is needed or when they have poor tolerance. Rosuvastatin is used as an adjunct to dietary therapy for patients with hyperlipidemia, especially for heterozygous and homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia and other forms of hyperlipidemia. It also helps lower cholesterol levels in patients with hyperlipidemia, slow the progression of atherosclerosis, and reduce the risk of cardiovascular diseases. Specifically, it contributes to lowering the risks of stroke, myocardial infarction, and revascularization in high-risk patients with cardiovascular disease risk factors. Thus, both ingredients are effective for managing blood pressure and cholesterol and improving cardiovascular health.
Candesartan cilexetil: 1. Essential Hypertension - The recommended initial and maintenance dose is to take 8 to 16 mg orally once a day. - If blood pressure control is inadequate after 4 weeks at a dose of 16 mg, the dose may be increased to a maximum of 32 mg once a day. - For patients with reduced intravascular effective blood volume or renal impairment: the initial dose should be 4 mg. - For patients with liver impairment: start with 2 mg once daily for mild to moderate cases, adjusting the dose as necessary.
Safety and efficacy in patients under 18 years have not been established, hence not recommended for administration.
