Precautions

This medication can cause liver damage if taken by individuals who regularly consume more than three alcoholic beverages a day, so it is essential to consult a doctor or pharmacist. Due to the acetaminophen component, serious skin reactions can occur rarely, so if a rash or hypersensitivity reaction occurs, discontinue use immediately. As this contains pseudoephrine, if symptoms of skin abnormalities such as fever, redness, or pustules appear, stop taking it and consult a specialist. Care should be taken not to exceed the daily maximum dose of acetaminophen, and it should not be used concurrently with other products containing acetaminophen. The artificial sweetener aspartame contained in this medication breaks down into phenylalanine, so it should not be taken by individuals with phenylketonuria. Individuals allergic to this drug or any of its components, who have experienced asthma triggered by it, infants under 3 months of age, or individuals taking certain antidepressants should avoid taking this medication. During use, it is advised not to take cough suppressants, other cold remedies, antipyretic analgesics, sedatives, or antihistamines concurrently. Consult a specialist if there is suspicion of chickenpox or influenza infection, in children under 15 years of age, or in those with certain skin conditions or allergic dispositions, or with liver, kidney, or heart diseases. If symptoms like rash, itching, vomiting, difficulty urinating, dizziness appear after taking, stop taking immediately and consult a professional. Particularly, if symptoms such as hives, difficulty breathing, severe skin reactions, or liver function abnormalities occur, seek medical attention urgently. Do not administer to children under 2 years of age, and if necessary, seek a doctor’s care. Follow the prescribed dosage and schedule during use, avoid long-term use, avoid alcohol, and be cautious as it may cause drowsiness which may hinder driving or operating machinery. Caution is needed if this is taken with certain antidepressants or alcohol, as it can slow acetaminophen metabolism. During use, be mindful of possible side effects like metabolic acidosis when used with flucloxacillin. This medication should be stored out of reach of children, protected from direct sunlight, and kept in a sealed container in a cool, dry place. Additionally, it is advisable not to transfer it to another container to maintain quality.
