This medication is used to relieve various oral inflammations, including inflammatory conditions caused by dentures, oral candidiasis (thrush), gingivitis, pharyngitis, and aphthous stomatitis. It is also effective in sterilization to prevent infection after root canal surgery. It helps to effectively improve oral inflammation and infection in patients.

Dosage and Administration

Adult dosage

15 mL once, twice a day, used for rinsing for about 1 minute. In case of stomatitis (oral inflammation) caused by dentures, soak the dentures in water for 15 minutes twice a day.

Precautions

This medication may disrupt the normal bacterial balance in the mouth, so it is advisable not to use it for a long time. People who have had allergic reactions to this medication should not use it. Use with caution if you have asthma or allergic diseases, or a history of such conditions. Using this medication in the mouth may cause staining on teeth or gums and can increase tartar, and sensory changes may also occur. In particular, it may cause mucosal peeling or irritation in children. Rarely, severe allergic reactions or shock symptoms may occur, so if you experience nausea, sweating, dizziness, or difficulty in breathing, you should stop using it immediately and go to the hospital. If a rash or hives occur, use should be stopped, as severe cases may lead to anaphylactic shock. While using this medication, inflammation of the salivary glands can occur infrequently. For general bacterial infections, antibiotics should be used instead of this medication, and the treatment duration should generally not exceed 10 days. This medication may cause staining on the surfaces of teeth, dentures, and the back of the tongue, so caution is advised. Patients wearing rough or gap-laden dentures may experience significant staining that is difficult to remove, so it is advisable not to use it if you do not want staining. During pregnancy, it should only be used when the benefits outweigh the risks, and during breastfeeding, it should be used cautiously due to the possibility of the drug entering breast milk. The safety and efficacy of this medication in children under 18 years have not been adequately established. This medication is for oral rinsing only and should not be used for ingestion. Keep out of reach of children, store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Also, ensure it is not placed near a flame.
