This medication helps in the treatment of advanced prostate cancer when used in conjunction with luteinizing hormone-releasing hormone (LHRH) analogues or castration surgery. It is also administered alone to patients with locally advanced or non-metastatic prostate cancer or used as an adjunctive therapy following radical prostatectomy or radiotherapy. This contributes to improving the treatment efficacy for prostate cancer and suppressing disease progression.
