Mild to moderate heart failure patients require caution, while it is not recommended for those with severe heart failure. Patients using sulfonylureas or insulin should exercise caution due to the risk of hypoglycemia. Caution is also required for patients with a history of abdominal surgery or bowel obstruction. This medication is not recommended for pregnant women, and careful consideration is necessary when administering it to breastfeeding individuals. Safety for pediatric use has not been confirmed, thus it is advisable to avoid usage in children. Elderly patients should be monitored for declining body functions when administered. In cases of overdose, the patient should receive appropriate treatment based on their condition alongside general management. Storage should be in a sealed container airtight from air exposure, ideally at room temperature between 1 and 30 degrees Celsius to maintain the drug's effectiveness. Interactions may occur with other diabetes medications or certain cardiac drugs, so patients should inform their doctor about the medications and conditions they are taking. Patients experiencing symptoms of hypoglycemia should be cautious while driving or working at heights.
